ESP32 module

Thanks, that works.

What is the default behavior of the Midi-to-cv module if there’s no MIDI in. Does the clock on screen output anything on the clk pin?

All output pins including CLK and RST can be mapped from the midi settings menu

So if CLK is mapped to clock and source is set to internal you will have a clock signal on CLK output according to bpm you set

Awesome! I’ll have to try again and maybe do the reset, I dunno. It just didn’t progress my sequencer when I tried it the first time.

I have two issues or questions about the MIDI/cv module.
First, I couldn’t make it work, probably due to my ignorance on the matter, but I might have found the answer: the kit I bought (synth starter) doesn’t include a VCA. Can I make MIDI work without it?
Second, this might be a bug? The MIDI module turns off when the audio out AND the oscillator modules are plugged with it. Is it a lack of voltage? (I use a 9V battery through the DC in.)

MIDI itself does not care about any VCA. But normally we want to do something with the gate output of the MIDI/CV-converter, so it can start and stop the tone. A VCA usually does that job, but a filter can also work, or a LPG.

A standard 9V block battery does not deliver much power, probably not enough for three of the bigger Microrack modules. Look at the LEDs of the power module: if they dim or go completely dark, there was not enough input power to keep everything running.

Thank you for your quick answer. After I posted this question I ordered a variable power supply, I imagine I will “crank” it up to 12V.
I need to explore more with the filter and envelope too.
Cheers!
