I’ll start us off so people can get an idea of what I’m hoping for this section.
Communication and social media improvements.
It might be an idea to bring someone on to the team to set up and manage all social media/communications exclusively. As we all know social media is a huge part of any company today. I believe having someone exclusively to manage these things would be of great benefit and will take the pressure off as every update seems to start with an apology for poor communication.
Some ideas of the type of person and responsibilities you may want this person to have.
Important that the person wants to make a career of managing social media for companies. Depending on funds you might ideally want someone that is currently studying for this type of work or someone that has is just starting out and needs to start their portfolio.
Would be advantageous for the person to already have knowledge of synthesis or an interest to learn but the communication and social media presence is most important here.
You’d need to make sure that this person has access to the people with on the team with the technical knowledge.
Responsibilities would entail creation and management of Facebook page, Facebook group, tiktok. Management of current platforms such as Instagram, forum and Kickstarter.
Across all platforms daily posts and engagement. Gathering technical questions to be put to team.
Network and collect any useful leads or feedback generated from engagement across all platforms
I’m not in the social media field of work but I’ve worked in similar fields. This is what I’d imagine some of responsibilities I’d imagine the role might entail.
Having been a social media manager and project-based community manager in the past for multiple companies, you pretty much hit the nail on the head for what it entails. It’d also open the team to being able to focus on other things.
If you’re not sitting there going “Ah, crap, gotta put this video on [social media platform] at some point” you can be more focused on day-to-day work and put down work at the end of the day instead of doing the last minute post, after-hours post, or just forgetting it entirely.
They’ve mentioned in the past that they had interest in hiring someone back on August 14 – “We will try to improve communications & SMM by hiring someone part time soon.”

Tutorial/education Ideas and teacher suggestions.
Would be great to have two different schools of lessons/education series. One dedicated for west coast and another for east coast.
My personal pick for a “tutor” is Sarah belle reid. I reckon she would do an amazing series/course on west coast synthesis on the microrack system. I also think Marc dotty might be a good one as well maybe more for the east coast although I do believe he now works for buchla rather than moog these days
Anyone got any more suggestions on who or what you’d like to see?
