It can be used as a flanger (shortest time, no feedback, mix 50:50), but needs a suitable LFO for modulation.

The triangle output of an oscillator in LFO mode works, but one needs to adjust the shape carefully, so there is no sudden jump. But then the oscillator output stays constant for a while (like the lower corner of the triangle wave is cut off or blunted), which sounds boring for a moment (there are several consecutive notes that sound exactly the same).

I tried to use the envelope as an LFO, but discovered that it “jumps” at the start of each flank, which is very annoying in this application.

It seems that building a flanger is a harsh test for LFOs, just as the beat frequency trick (sounds similar) is a harsh test for audio oscillator stability.

wow, it is surprise for me to make a flanger this way with slow modulation!

And yes, right now there is no perfectly smooth triangle source in the system
