Cool idea to generate polyrhythms, so I usually use clock multiplier/divider. Even two counters with different period can create complex pattern. Now we have clock counter module and I can perform the demo later.
No new crazy module ideas but a few questions about existing modules.
Will the sequencer be able to handle audio rate clock inputs? I like to be able to use unquantized sequencers as a sort of complex oscillator.
Will there be odd time divisions as well as even, if not any plans for a module for all the odd divisions?
With the stylo keyboard would i be able mult the “stylus” so i can have two for playing the monophonic keyboard? If so what is the retrig like, does it retrig the gate every new touch of a stylus or does the first stylus have to lifted to retrig the gate more like a legato? Reason i ask is i like to use “keyboards” in conjunction with a s&h module for a sudo polyphony, a technique used on the ms-20.
Will the esp-32 module have a multiple outputs? If so as it stands will the midi-cv software be capable of polyphony and sending multiple midi channels?
As i was typing this i came up with a “simple” but effective module idea. A sinewave oscillator or a lpf that can self oscillate with stable 1v/oct tracking to accompany the planned wave folder.
Sorry for the huge information dump all at once haha
.First being a quantizer I imagine this could be done with the esp-32 module. However would be nice having some dedicated modules. I imagine the esp-32 is probably going to be one of the more expensive modules so would be nice to see some of dedicated modules if its more cost-effective than purchasing multiple esp-32 modules to use different software on.
.Spring reverb module
.tape delay (very advantageous i know) i believe janky tape delay is and open source tape delay
(edit: might be more reasonable to make a magnetic tape head play back pre amp with bias rather than an entire tape delay.)
.pitch/cv tracking
.evolope follower
Now onto some of the more of my “crazy” ideas. Performance has been mentioned in the kickstarter video so thought modules that interact with other forms of media and the physical world might be a nice touch. So heres some of those ideas
.solenoid driver
.dc motor pwm
.some type of module for servos
.video synthesis modules
.modules for controlling dmx lighting
I also have a suggestion for the speaker module. Would be nice to have a point to tap out from on the module to power your own speakers. My first thought would to power low watt surface transducers from that module.
