Image of the latest released version of the module. This is not the final product, development is in progress.
This module consists of two independent sections
The upper section is a noise generator that outputs pink noise (similar to white noise but with reduced high frequencies) and blue noise (with reduced low frequencies).
The lower section function as both a track-and-hold and a sample-and-hold. When there is a gate signal on the track pin, the input is passed to the output. When there is no signal on the track pin, the output holds the constant level that was present when the gate was turned off. A button can be used instead of an external track signal.
The sample pin works similarly, but each trigger that arrives at this pin causes the input signal value to be captured and held at the output.
You can input noise into the sample/hold signal input, and with each trigger on the sample input, a random signal value will appear at the output.
Known issues:
- trigger logic is inverted
- signal is not constant in hold mode
- blue noise is louder than pink
- new board outline is needed
