Module description was updated!
Hi everyone!
We have a cool update regarding the track/sample+hold section!
Weβve fixed the inverted logic, significantly increased hold stability, and corrected the sample input.
Now it really works like sample+hold!
Will i be able to do the old korg ms20 duophony trick with it thats the real question?! Haha
Can you tell more about this? It is not clear for me how to use sample-hold for duophony
This trick works best with keyboards with legato. You split the keyboard cv sending one to osc1 and the other to the s&h signal in. You also split the keyboard gate one to your envelope and the other to the s&h trigger in. The output of the s&h then goes to osc2. So when you play and hold a note the s&h will send that cv to osc2 and because no additional gates being sent when another note is pressed osc1 will play the new note while osc2 continues to play the the first note youβre holding.
Is also a fun way to control two oscillators slightly differently from each other from the same sequencer and then it gets really fun when you use either of the slightly different techniques while chunking in hard sync or a ring mod.
The trick has its quirks but they can also be used to your advantage to do some interesting things
This guy explains it a lot better ^^ haha
Even learnt a new thing myself as well watching that video. Ive never delayed the gate before. Iβve always worked around that quirk before and used it to my advantage for sequencing two oscillators with one sequencer.
