Quick jam with the MicroRack and Beat Friend:
Anyone else got anything going? Share it here!
I like arpeggio texture you’ve got at 3:00-3:11, at some point you’ve found exact amount of resonance to get very deep low end
Yeah, the filter gets pretty beefy. It looks like it’s based on a Moritz Klein diode ladder filter, I think? It’s nice, anyway.
This was just to get used to playing on it-- there are a lot of possibilities here.
Definitely yes!
We made this filter in collab with Moritz Klein, all the silkscreen design is for Moritz and also you can see MKl logo on the filter module
Nice idea to have a jams thread. This is my second exploration of this patch. All sounds direct from microrack and recorded in a single take:
This is my third exploration, this time with a bass guitar patched into the input of the delay module:
I should have given the thread a better name so it was more obviously not just me posting a thing. Glad you posted too!
Let’s name it “jams thread”, easy
I don’t seem to be able to rename it myself.
Maybe we can read it as an order. Quick, Jam!

I made something, my first one
I have a long way to go, but I’m starting to figure out how these things work together
The Saturator and delay are really good for making phat and muddy sounds if that’s what you want
Desc:
This is my first patch that is even vaguely musical - today I figured out how to use the sequencer module.
I still have no idea how to use the clock or envelope, which was my real goal for this play, but there we go.
I also figured how to use an lfo to control the other vco.
Forgive the heavy breathing, I was getting really into it, and the phone was pretty close to my face - just pretend it’s white noise or percussion or something.
I’d almost like to see a jams subforum/category so it can enable themed jam threads.
That’d enable contests, competitions, and collaborations in a given theme/genre (Acid, Harsh Noise, D&B, etc.)
We can think about it — maybe if we get a lot more music-related content, we could organize it more clearly. For now, though, I’m pretty sure one thread is enough.
That said… anyone pull off an acid sound?

It is definitely not 303 and you should be careful with resonance but it grooves!
This is all I have so far but will give a try to that patch! I bet there are many out there who can do it better.
I am convinced you need fast envelope for acid! ![]()
303? No. Acid? Definitely. Well done!
That actually goes really hard. I dig it.
“JAM” (sorry the video frame/position isn’t helpful at all, I’ll try to think about that more next time)
looks like everyone’s having a ton of fun so far (I certainly am), way to go Microrack team! you did it!
